About Kevin Radaker

Kevin Radaker is Professor of English and Chair of the English Department at Anderson University in Anderson, Indiana. Since 1991, he has presented his portrayal of Thoreau over 350 times throughout the United States.
Since 1991, Professor Radaker has offered his portrayal of Thoreau at universities, colleges, libraries, museums, conferences, state and national parks, and his "Thoreau" has been a part of summer Chautauqua tours in the Great Plains states (1991-1993), Missouri and Illinois (1997,1998), Massachusetts (1998), the Carolinas and New Hampshire (2001), Oklahoma (2003), Maryland (2004), Ohio and Colorado (2008).
  • In addition to his performances, Kevin Radaker has presented numerous papers on Thoreau at academic conferences, and he has published articles on Thoreau, Herman Melville, Annie Dillard, and Wendell Berry in encyclopedias and academic journals.

  • He teaches courses in American Literature, Modern Drama, American Nature Writing, American Literature and American Painting, and composition, both upper and lower division.  He also team teaches the first course in Anderson University's Honors Program.
